Where to eat in Miami: recommended restaurants

Where to eat in Miami: Are you looking for restaurants to eat in Miami? Do you want to enjoy the best gastronomy? Then you have come to the right place. In this post, we are going to share with you a selection of some of our favourite restaurants in the city where you can enjoy the best international cuisine and also some local dishes that will surely make you leave Miami with the best taste in your mouth.

It is important to keep in mind that the gastronomic offer in Miami is infinite, so we will only be able to include a brief selection. In addition to this, in most cases, the restaurants specialise in international cuisine, so it is not always easy to find local proposals, although, in many of them, you will probably find options for dishes made with local products.
As you can see on the map, we have also taken into account that the selection is of restaurants located in the most touristic areas, such as Miami Beach, Downtown, Little Havanna, and Wynwood Walls, so that you have options during your visit to the city.

Based on the days we spent in the city during the trip to Florida, after which we wrote this post about the places to see in Miami, we share with you this list of restaurants to eat in Miami. Let’s start!

1. CVI.CHE 105, one of the best restaurants in Miami

Specialising in Peruvian gastronomy, this is one of those restaurants that will not leave you indifferent. In addition, there are several restaurants in the city, so you can always go to one or another depending on the visits you are making.
Although we also advise trying the Lima causa for $14, the traditional ceviche for $24, the aj de gallina for $18, and the macho fish for $28, the idea is to let the helpful staff advise you.

  • Address: 105 NE 3rd Ave. El; there are several more in the city (see directions)
  • Hours: every day from noon to 10:30 p.m.

2. Joe’s Stone Crab

With a menu in which crab and seafood are the main protagonists, Joe’s Stone Crab is an icon in the city and, as such, is today one of the most recommended restaurants to eat in Miami.
Although they have a fairly extensive menu, we recommend that you try the stone crab, which, depending on the size, has one price or another (the medium ones are $49.95, the large ones are $84.95, and a selection is $59.95), the seafood trio for $81.95, and of course, the lobster roll for $37. By the way, leave room for dessert to try the fantastic key lime pie for $12.95.

  • Hours: every day from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m.

3. Bread & Wine

Located on Española Way, between Washington and Pennsylvania avenues, this is another of the best restaurants in Miami if you want to enjoy an authentic Italian dinner.
As you can imagine, their menu focuses on Italian dishes, and among all of them, we recommend that you try the cacao e pepe pasta with truffle for $28 and the pappardelle al ragú for $29. Exquisite!
Remember that it is very necessary to reserve if you do not want to wait in line, as it is usually full.

  • Address: 1450 Washington Ave., Miami Beach
  • Hours: every day from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

4. Versailles Restaurant

Specialized in Cuban cuisine and known for being one of the best restaurants to eat in Miami, Versailles Restaurant is one of those places that does not disappoint any traveler. Although they have a very extensive menu, this restaurant, included in the Michelin Guide, can boast of serving the best Cuban sandwich in the city, so this should be one of the dishes that should not be missing from your table for $9.5 per special.
In addition to the sandwich, we recommend not missing the ropavieja for $12.95 and the special selection of Cuban dishes for $12.95.

  • Address: 3555 SW 8th St
  • Hours: every day from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.

5. Old’s Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina, another of the best Cuban restaurants in Miami

We continue with the recommendations on Little Havanna and Cuban gastronomy, but Miami is a city with many Cuban restaurants, and as such, we must take the opportunity to enjoy this exquisite gastronomy.
As in the previous one, here you can also enjoy one of the best Cuban sandwiches ($11) as well as fried chicken with mojo for $14.50 or ropavieja for $15.95.

If you are visiting Wynwood Walls and it’s time for lunch or dinner, Le Chick Miami will be a safe bet. Known for its atmosphere, charming room, and casual cuisine, they have a menu that highlights burgers for between $19-$35, depending on which one you choose, as well as a wide variety of meat dishes and starters.

  • Address: 310 NW 24th St

7. Five Guys, a safe bet in Miami

This is probably not the first option you think of when you consider looking for a restaurant to eat in Miami, but we assure you that it is a great option if you are looking for something quick for lunch or dinner.
We went a couple of times, Downtown when we had to take the cruise through the famous houses and we had little time and one night we didn’t feel like going to a restaurant and without a doubt, it is one of the best burgers we have ever had. Eaten. They are not pretty but they are delicious and addictive, we warn you.
